T'ej questions

Postby tsipir on Fri Oct 26, 2012 6:59 am

I have a 3 litre jar (wide mouth) of T'ej that yesterday started to froth. It's 8 days old and I had to add some raisins 3 days ago because I wasn't getting any bubbling. Yesterday a little bubbling appeared. Today, the whole surface of the T'ej had froth on it. Now, according the instructions, I should put the T'ej in a narrow-mouthed bottle. The problem is that I only have a 5-litre bottle, which will mean that there would be a lot of air above the liquid. From what I've read on this forum, am I right in thinking that this is not ideal?

Would an acceptable alternative be to pour the liquid in 3 1-litre bottles instead of a single big one? And how about the raisins, do I keep them in the T'ej or remove them?

Thank you in advance for any help!
