Ive been making kefir for several years and the other day my kefir grains started turning my milk into viili. It has the long ropey texture when I pour it and its really thick. I can also stick a spoon in it and the spoon comes out clean.
Anyone ever had this happen to their kefir?
I keep backups in my freezer if I want to go back to normal kefir but this stuff is really good.
Oh,I never had viili cultures in my house but I am thinking somehow some yeast from some miso paste (doenjang) I have might have mixed with it or something ...I don't know
