No bubbles but growing?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I hope you won't mind me asking something that might have been asked here before:

I'm growing a scoby from a bottled kombucha, and I got into a weird situation - after putting the jar on a heat radiator and went up to 30°C/86°F, it stopped bubbling, so I thought to add some more brew to it and after I did so, it still doesn't make any bubbles but continues to form more biomass.

Is it something else I witness growing in my tea, or is it normal to have some fermentation without observable bubbles?

Thanks a lot!

Just wanted to update, that the scoby's still not making any bubbles, but growing, what it seems to me, pretty well =D

I'd want to know what happens if you lock some of the liquid and a little sugar up in a sealed bottle. Does pressure increase?

Also, what bubbles are missing? How were you perceiving them before?
