Mead Beginner Question about surface resin in airlocked

Postby tenagasuryafisk on Thu Nov 25, 2021 11:52 am

Hello,
I am fairly new to making mead. About 1 week ago, I filled two wine bottles with a bubbly metheglin tea of various herbs and spices and honey at around 50/50 ratio, adding a little ginger bug and popping an airlock on top.

I noticed this sort of resin floating around at the top of the liquid and I wanted to get some feedback on it and if everything looks alright?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I can't really tell what I'm seeing, but within the confines of that image, nothing looks alarming to me. (Hopefully someone with more expertise than I have will come by and see this.)
