Elderberry wine using dried elderberries

Hello!

I want to make elderberry wine following the recipe in "Wild Fermentation." But this recipe calls for fresh elderberries and I have a ton of dried elderberries.

Can I use dried elderberries in place of fresh in this recipe and if so how would use change the amounts? (e.g. half the amount of fresh elderberries)
