Help me decide if the cheese is poisonous!

We had a half gallon of raw milk that went sour. It tasted bitter, and wasn't good. My mom let it ferment on the shelf until it turned into curds and whey. The curds smell awful, like stinky feet, but the whey has a clean smell. If we use the whey to ferment things, will they spoil? I don't want to get sick from drinking this whey!
