Aspergillus?

Hey everyone,
I am not sure if this is posted in the right section...
I can't remember for sure, from the class I took with Sandor, but I seem to remember a mention of Aspergillus, and wonder if that was Aspergillus Niger.
I keep running into this specific one for digestion issues, and the only thing I have found is that it's used in Pur-eh Tea...
Does anyone know more about this A. Niger?
