Simple ferment

My initial question involves soybeans, but really all beans. I am wondering if I can simply grind soybeans into flour and add water and wait, similar to a sourdough starter. And if this is a legitimate way to ferment beans, and is it healthy to consume these?

What are the health effects if eaten raw, also, does making something like starter pancakes kill much of the nutrients? Or would this be a good way to consume it? Thank you for any help!!

Most beans need to be cooked to inactivate constituents in the beans. There are warnings on packs of dried beans to cook them before consuming. Some beans contain toxins which can be dangerous and others contain substances lectins which prevent the absorption of important nutrients.

Soyabeans should always be cooked. Do it like it is recommended to be safe.

I am certainly no expert on this but don't risk it!
