Here's what my peanut tempeh looked like when sliced.

I have peanuts, what exactly do you mean blanched? I plan to pressure steam 20 min, do you think they'll get soft enough? I use beans weekly for tempeh but I did not try peanuts

A blanched peanut is one in which the skin is removed. The blanching process is done by putting the peanuts in hot water for about three minutes, then rapidly cooling them and rubbing off their skins. Once, the skins have been removed spread them on paper to dry and refrigerate

I found the raw blanched peanuts I used in the bulk bin on a local store for $3.29 a pound. I didn't know how much I would need so I bought two pounds. I had read that peanuts would not expand much during the soaking process, unlike dried beans, so I filled my two containers with peanuts and then dumped them into my large container for a 12 hour soak.

In the end each cake turned out to be just over 330 grams.
