tempeh & petals

Postby Cars10 on Mon Jun 21, 2021 2:05 pm

Inspired by a picture on Facebook I tried to add edible flowers in my just 2nd ever tempeh. Here is a result of rice, black lentils, cashew nut, hemp seed and petals of rose & poppy seed. After the first attempt was with beans and chick peas, I now wanted to add some grains and nuts. As Sandor mentioned in AoF that he usually mixes legumes with grains in ratio of 1:1 I followed this advice. Overall, I am satisfied.

Still, has anybody an idea how to better preserve the pigments of petals in general? That they do not lose so much colour? Pre-treatment with X ...

Grown with aquarium heater and water bath at 31°C.
Picture at start and the second 56 hours.
