A mold I don't recognize

Postby joakland on Thu Feb 01, 2018 2:45 pm

Hey everyone,

The ferment in the attached photo is butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and garlic. It's been going for about five days. I've seen Kahm yeast before, and other molds, but I don't recognize these little white particles. Is this just another kind of mold that I can skim off and not worry about?

Obviously too late to provide a helpful reply on this, but how did your squashes turn out?
Currently looking at things and pondering about stuff.

Weird -- I think I missed this post when it was fresh. I can't tell anything useful from the picture, but I'd skim them off and toss them.
