This was probably a bad test, because I did leave it long to begin with, about two weeks, and it had stopped bubbling so much.

But they were inedible as they were, so no loss.
Currently looking at things and pondering about stuff.

I think my aubergine has kept fermenting. the acidity is definitely higher

Oh good. That makes it reasonable to keep trying things.

And actually I just checked my limes, and they have bubbles. I don't know if they are going to be good to eat, but something is happening.
Currently looking at things and pondering about stuff.
