kishk

Postby isabelle on Sat Jul 11, 2009 8:04 am

Hello to everybody!
I'm italian (so be kind for my English) and I've just bought "wild fermentation" a few weeks ago.
I tried to make kishk with soy homemade yogurth.
I put bulgur and yogurth in a glass bowl. After 12 hours I added some other yogurth because it looked a little bit dry and started mixing it every day. After 3 or 4 days I forgot to mix it and today the surface was gone mouldy, with a nice, thin white mould.
I throwed it in the toilet even if it smelled godd under the surface.
Why the mould? Could it be because I didn't mix it properly every day?
Thank you very much :)
