Hello,

i would like ask you for an inspiration in soup area...

What soup with ferments do you cook or know?

Of course - there is a miso soup.


In Czech, we are doing kyselo - sourdough starter boiled with water, mushroom and potatoes, garnished with scramble eggs and fried onnion.

I wish I had more ideas for you! My Mom's family is Slovak, and we LOVE sauerkraut soup!

I think I've had a vietnamese soup with fermented fish sauce that was very good! I have just started replenishing my stock of fermented foods as spring fruits and veggies are coming in season. once I have some made, maybe I can experiment with soups. I would think almost any veggie ferment, like carrots or something could be handled much the same way as sauerkraut soup. Even a mixed veggie medley would probably work...cabbage, carrots, cauliflower and onion comes to mind as a possibility.
