Eating water kefir grains & candida?

Postby pickled pepper on Thu Mar 19, 2015 7:15 pm

Does anyone know if eating water kefir grains with a candida overgrowth is beneficial or not? I question whether or not candida feeds on polysaccharides, or if adding other strains of yeast is a problem. http://www.culturesforhealth.com/water- ... eria-yeast

I'm by no mean an expert, but wouldn't it be better to have the yeasts ferment so that you're not taking them directly? Like, I understand that just because it's a yeast doesn't mean it's inherently bad for candida, but I think you're seeking more benefit from the other cultures.

And I'm sure you are, but taking probiotics supplements would the be first step to go if you haven't.
