White particles in ginger bug

Hello everyone..

I have just started fermenting a ginger bug and I see white particles floating on top after 7 days. It was viable after 5 days and i used it to make drinks. I read that its normal and I can stir it. Now, I see white particles floating on top of my ginger beer that's out for fermenting. Is this normal?

Also I would like to know if ginger bug is a good source of probiotics. Is kombucha better?
