Hello everyone, it's been awhile since I have used this forum! I'm trying something new, I have a juicer and an airlock for widemouth mason jars, today I filled one half gallon jar with cabbage juice and 2 teaspoons of pickling salt and covered it with a coffee filter and filled a second jar about 3/4 with cabbage pulp and topped up with the salted juice, that one I put the airlock on since it's pulpy and I can't weigh it down. My plan is to use the juice to start some other juices fermenting. I have made beat kvass but I want to ferment pure beat juice using the fermented cabbage juice as a starter and then maybe some other juices also.
