Accidentally put hot water with Ginger bug, what to do

Hi,
I was making another Ginger beer again, but I wasn't sharp at all. So I did put my Ginger bug in the bottle and poured the hot water on it :-(
I did put the bottle in the freezer as soon as I discovered my fault but I think the bug will be killed already. What do you think? Is there a chance of survival? Should I just leave it all in the bottle and wait or might this give problems?
I'm not a throw-away-person while we spoil enough on this planet already.

I happily saved a bit of my bug and gave it some extra sugar and Ginger (with a little bit of fresh turmeric) so I'll be able to make new beer or whatever soon anyway.

If it wasn't too hot, it might survive.

If not, keep it cold until your next bug is thriving and just re-culture it.
